Breastfeeding Pillows: List

This is just a list composed of my personal experiences with using breastfeeding pillows. The ones I would recommend for mothers who want and need to use them and the ones I probably wouldn't and other nursing pillows out there.

Why a Nursing Pillow
One big reason I have liked using nursing pillows while nursing my babies are because it allows me to use two hands while breastfeeding. For example, I can have my baby laying on the boppy nursing while I type on my computer, read a book or listen to music on my I-pod when they are nursing to sleep. I have also found that when you are using a nursing cover, sometimes having a nursing pillow comes in handy, because you aren't trying to hold baby with one hand or cradled in your lap while trying to adjust the nursing cover. Also small nursing pillows, like Boppy's travel pillow are great for nursing in the car (when it is not moving), airports and on airplanes. Smaller than some traditional  nursing pillows and turns into a bag to hold when not in use. I like to leave my travel boppy in my car so I can take it whenever I feel I need it on the go. As your baby gets older, the nursing pillow can be used as support pillow against your baby's back or under your baby for tummy time. So they can have multiple uses.

My only complaint is the back piece was uncomfortable to me. However, I know a midwife and several other breastfeeding moms who recommend this nursing pillow. So you might like it.

Implantation Dips & Raised BBT

An Implantation Dip is when your basal body temperature (BBT) dips below your cover line post ovulation, usually said to occur around 7 to 9 days pass ovulation on average and then continues to rise without falling below the cover line again. 3 to 5 days pass ovulation for implantation dips is said to be rare.  Some believe implantation dips are myths, because of varying results in dips and outcomes for pregnancy.  Usually it is said when your BBT stays above your cover line without dipping below the cover line, it is a sign that you're pregnant.   This is just a theory, but it seems for some early implantation dips, may lead to earlier positive pregnancy tests. The exception to early implantation dips theory I have found is that  some women get early positive pregnancy tests as a result of having a multiples pregnancy, some women gets dips in many of their cycles that do not result in pregnancy and some women like me don't get dips during a c...

Recovering from my laparoscopy has been a journey, and honestly, some days are more uncomfortable than others. Over the past week, I’ve found a few products that have made a huge difference in how I feel—both physically and mentally. Here’s what’s been helping me get through it: 1. It keeps the incision area clean without stinging or irritating my skin, which is such a relief.  2. They’re soft, supportive, and don’t press on my stomach—exactly what ...
