Wash Laundry Every Day

Wash Every Day If Possible
One thing I realize from trial and error for my family, is washing laundry every day if possible is a must! Four outfits (4 shirts, 4 pants) and two adult under clothes (2 undershirts, 3 pieces for female under clothing and 2 pieces of male underclothing) doesn't seem like such a big deal in four separate laundry hampers. Four or so cloth diapers and one under clothing from my preschooler in my diaper pail doesn't seem much like a big deal either. Although the 15 pieces of clothing (not counting the cloth diapers and preschooler's under clothing) all together could make one small laundry load. And in reality that's not a terrible amount of laundry, but once you allow yourself to become behind on laundry, it does become a monster of a time to wash, dry, fold and put everything away all in the same day.

You know what I'm talking about - laundry hampers overflowing with dirty clothes, and clean laundry baskets stacked high with clean clothing, because everything added up slowly over time and before you know it its a lot to do! Fifteen pieces of clothing one day, thirty by the second day and if it's the third day that's an estimated amount of 45 pieces of clothing. That does not include if my children need an outfit change, since from time to time kids do get dirty from playing outside or something spills. Not to mention my preschooler might have an accident here and there. If that happens, we could easily be looking at a laundry load of fifty or more. You see where I am going with this?  When you see that overwhelming pile that determination to get a lot done today, slowly starts to go out the window as you tackle more than a day's worth of laundry. My kids aren't the age where they can really help in the way that I want and my husband works full time, that often leads the weight of laundry on me to do alone. I am a full time stay at home mom who goes to college full time, to say I am a busy is an understatement. I've fallen into that laundry trap, I don't have time today, I'll do it tomorrow. Or this doesn't look like a lot of laundry, I can tackle it all today until you try.

Benefits
Doing laundry every day sounds like a lot of work too. However, I've found by washing a few loads every day, I'm less overwhelmed by the laundry. I am also more able to wash, dry, fold and put laundry away all in the same day if its not in huge amounts, which means finishing the job. When baskets are full and overflowing, which can easily happen if its not taken care of right away, not all the laundry gets washed, not all the laundry gets put away and sometimes you can't find what you need when you're digging through dirty clothes to check to see if dirty, or digging through all the clean clothes to find it.

Not Enough Clothing To Wash Every Day
I wash my clothing overall by like colors (I tend to wash my colors: greens, blues, yellows and oranges. pinks, reds, purples. whites, light tan. black, brown, dark tans, grays), not always light or dark. Because I tend to group certain colors together rather than light and dark colors, I may have a day where I don't have enough of the same color clothing to do a load of laundry. If there is not enough like colors, I look to see if there is enough light or dark, by looking at bed sheets, towels and clothing. If its not time to wash sheets and not everything really lines up for light or dark clothing, I skip a wash. Even if I decide to skip a wash, I make sure that I am caught up on laundry and how skipping that wash will affect me later.

Frida Mom for Post Laparoscopy Care

My Frida Mom Basket for Post-Laparoscopy Care. Why I Love the Frida Mom Line (Even Beyond Motherhood) One of the things I’ve really come to appreciate is how versatile the Frida Mom line is—not just for new moms, but for anyone recovering from abdominal surgeries, such as laparoscopies for endometriosis. After surgery, comfort and gentle care are everything. That’s where the C-section recovery underwear comes in. Even if you haven’t had a baby, the design makes sense—when you have incisions on your abdomen, you need something soft, high-waisted, and non-restrictive. These disposable underwears are a lifesaver compared to standard disposable Depends. The big difference? You can build your own pad system . Start with the underwear. Add a menstrual pad. Layer on a witch hazel perineal liner, perineal cream, or both. Attach an optional heating pad for cramping. It’s completely customizable depending on what your body needs that day. I also want to mention the liners pack...

My Laparoscopy Recovery Essentials: What’s Actually Helping Me Heal

Disclaimer: Links to all the products I mentioned are included. I am not being paid to promote any of them and do not receive payments. Skin sensitivity may impact your experiences with these products. Recovering from my laparoscopy has been a journey, and honestly, some days are more uncomfortable than others. Over the past week, I’ve found a few products that have made a huge difference in how I feel—both physically and mentally. Here’s what’s been helping me get through it: 1. Body Wash That Feels Safe Before and after surgery, I wanted something gentle that still felt clean. I’ve been using Dove Antibacterial Body Wash , and it’s been perfect. It keeps the incision area clean without stinging or irritating my skin, which is such a relief.  2. Underwear That Actually Works I never thought I’d get excited about disposable underwear, but Frida Mom Disposable C-Section Underwear has been a game-changer. They’re soft, supportive, and don’t press on my stomach—exactly what ...
