3rd: Gender Reveal

Finding Out At The Birth
I am a planner. Everyone who knows me, knows I am a planner. I plan everything in advance as best as I can. So to wait until the birth to find out the sex is out of character, to say the least because you can't have everything planned for that paticular sex. But planning to wait sounds a little more like me. (Stay tuned for more updates).

  • Buy For Both Genders
Since we have one of each gender and are already set on baby clothes ( I saved all my baby clothes from my previous two. I've even been given gently used baby and kid clothes from family members and friends a few times), I decided to do some "fun" shopping for each gender. With my past two pregnancies, I would buy gender neutral until we found out the gender. So this was a little different to walk in and buy for both genders, having no idea which outfits I would be using.

  • Wash for Both Genders
I also decided to wash all the newborn boy and girl clothes I had. I moved the storage bins upstairs, so when we found out the gender we will move the clothes to the dresser sometime during the first few weeks.

  • Pick Out The First Outfit for Both Genders
I also decided to pick out the first outfit for the baby after he or she is born to wear.
I hung them on my bedroom door in front of other clothes I will use for the birth and after delivery. In my photo below you can see the blue shirt and pants are my boy outfit and behind it is a purple and white dress for my girl outfit.

  • Pick Out A Few Outfits for Both Genders
I also decided to wash and set aside a couple of day's worth of outfits for each gender, as well as some unisex outfits. I stored them in baby's dresser. I made a drawer for each: unisex, boy, and girl, so we would be prepared either way. The first photo to the left is the unisex drawer with 5 gender neutral jammies. The second photo to the right is the boy drawer.  I have 2 boy jammies, 2 long sleeve onesies, 4-5 short sleeve onesies and 1 pair of pants. I didn't use all the new outfits I purchased. I choose a few newborn pieces from everything I had, both old and new. The 3rd photo, baby caps.

  • Gender Neutral Bassinet & Changing Pad Cover
I have a gender neutral bassinet I bought locally from another mother for $15. These retail well into the $100 brand new. I also added unisex onesies and swaddle blankets under the bassinet in our living room.

***** The Reveal: So my husband and I were team green during my third pregnancy. We did not find out the sex of our baby throughout the pregnancy and found out at delivery that our baby is a boy.

Clear Blue Plus Pregnancy Test (Blue Dye)

Clear Blue Plus Pregnancy Test  with Blue Dye (+ / - ) This is what a negative looks like: Side Note: Blue dyes are often said to more frequently give false positives than pink dye. Some online boards that will tweak (alter) a pregnancy test photo to help individuals identify if the test is a faint positive or indeed negative, often will not do blue dyes.

Frida Mom for Post Laparoscopy Care

My Frida Mom Basket for Post-Laparoscopy Care. Why I Love the Frida Mom Line (Even Beyond Motherhood) One of the things I’ve really come to appreciate is how versatile the Frida Mom line is—not just for new moms, but for anyone recovering from abdominal surgeries, such as laparoscopies for endometriosis. After surgery, comfort and gentle care are everything. That’s where the C-section recovery underwear comes in. Even if you haven’t had a baby, the design makes sense—when you have incisions on your abdomen, you need something soft, high-waisted, and non-restrictive. These disposable underwears are a lifesaver compared to standard disposable Depends. The big difference? You can build your own pad system . Start with the underwear. Add a menstrual pad. Layer on a witch hazel perineal liner, perineal cream, or both. Attach an optional heating pad for cramping. It’s completely customizable depending on what your body needs that day. I also want to mention the liners pack...

My Laparoscopy Recovery Essentials: What’s Actually Helping Me Heal

Disclaimer: Links to all the products I mentioned are included. I am not being paid to promote any of them and do not receive payments. Skin sensitivity may impact your experiences with these products. Recovering from my laparoscopy has been a journey, and honestly, some days are more uncomfortable than others. Over the past week, I’ve found a few products that have made a huge difference in how I feel—both physically and mentally. Here’s what’s been helping me get through it: 1. Body Wash That Feels Safe Before and after surgery, I wanted something gentle that still felt clean. I’ve been using Dove Antibacterial Body Wash , and it’s been perfect. It keeps the incision area clean without stinging or irritating my skin, which is such a relief.  2. Underwear That Actually Works I never thought I’d get excited about disposable underwear, but Frida Mom Disposable C-Section Underwear has been a game-changer. They’re soft, supportive, and don’t press on my stomach—exactly what ...
