- Out With The Old, In With The New! -
Been There Done That Mom: The first thing I did was go through the baby products I already had from my previous babies to determine if I needed anything new. Even though we are specifically discussing baby bath products in here, I want to remind you some baby things should be purchased new or replaced after a few years, anything that has been recalled should be replaced. Double check that the baby products that you have still work properly and haven't been recalled. Car seats should be purchased new and need to be changed every 6 years.

- Research Your Baby Products -
New Mom & Been There Done That Mom: Research  the newest bathing products on the market today. I saw the Fisher Price 4 in 1 sling n sit tub and knew I wanted to get it! It had 2 features I liked from my previous favorite baby tub (The First Years Infant To Toddler Tub with Sling), a newborn sling and was an infant-toddler tub. I decided to do my homework about this new product that I wanted to buy. I read the descriptions, customer reviews on websites and Youtube, I watched how babies being bathed in the tub reacted to it and how comfortable / uncomfortable they appeared in the product, and I compared retail prices from online and local stores.

- Find The Space -
New Mom Been There Done That MomIt's no secret babies come with a lot of stuff! One thing you want is to find the place you are going to use your baby bath tub, knowing where and how much space you have to use, may determine what style of baby bath tub you buy. Options: You can place your baby bath tub inside your regular tub and kneel outside of it while you bathe baby (this option may hurt your knees and require a knee pad or you may be interested in the right height baby bath tubs that elevate your baby bath, so you don't have to lean completely over the tub). If you have countertop space in your kitchen or bathroom, this may be the place you want to set up your baby tub. Another option is to have a baby bath tub that fits in or over a bathroom or kitchen sink. The con with these options are if you have an open concept kitchen, a bathroom used by guests or only have one sink and need to use it, you probably won't want to leave your baby bath tub on display, which will require you to find the place to store your baby bath tub when it is not in use if leaving it out bothers you. Another option is to buy a baby bathtub that comes with a stand or has the option to buy a stand. This will allow you to place your tub in whatever rooms have space for you to bathe your baby. In our home, our master has a hand towel bar, this is where I am hanging my baby bath tub out of the way, freeing up my counter space. Originally I had it set up on my counter.

- Stock Up -
New Mom Been There Done That MomStock up on baby Shampoos and Soaps. It's hard to say what day exactly your baby's umbilical stump will fall off, but it's been my experience during those first 6-8 weeks of recovery you don't want use that time to be stocking up on last min baby essentials, even if you have a great delivery and feel good after. It's easy to overdo it when you're feeling great. I'm totally guilty of that, so I speak from experience. I had my second baby, I spent 18 hours in the hospital, and the next day I went to my baby shower with my newborn and 34-month-old toddler. Sometime during the first 2 weeks, I went to a big baby blow out sale. While I felt fine, after a few hours of shopping, I felt fatigue, needed some lunch and rest. Shopping drained me of my energy. Some ways I stock up is getting a few items at a time when I make a trip, buying things during a store's regular sale or clearance, buying online during Black Friday & Holiday Sales, using my Target CartWheel App for regular sales and discounts and coupons.

- My Picks -

Baby Bath Tub:
Fisher Price 4 in 1 sling n sit tub

Bath Caddy:
I really like my Fisher Price Caddy. It can be used for bath or diapering essentials. I did recently find out that this particular one seems to be discontinued among local stores online, such Wal-Mart. However, an updated one can occasionally be found on E-bay, if you click here. Keep a look out at consignment stores too. Because of this, I also listed an alternative bath caddy below.

Baby Shampoos / Soaps:
I choose these particular brands because they are said to have some of the safest ingredients, good for sensitive skin, and overall have high reviews. For parents looking for more natural products, they also mostly score well on EWG's Skin Deep Cosmetics Database (www.ewg.org/skindeep).

As far as where to buy, local Targets sell both Burt's Bees and Shea Moisture. Local Walmarts should have Burt's Bees, Mommy Bliss and I believe I've seen Shea Moisture. Amazon sells all three brands. * Of course, it depends on location.

Frida Mom for Post Laparoscopy Care

My Frida Mom Basket for Post-Laparoscopy Care. Why I Love the Frida Mom Line (Even Beyond Motherhood) One of the things I’ve really come to appreciate is how versatile the Frida Mom line is—not just for new moms, but for anyone recovering from abdominal surgeries, such as laparoscopies for endometriosis. After surgery, comfort and gentle care are everything. That’s where the C-section recovery underwear comes in. Even if you haven’t had a baby, the design makes sense—when you have incisions on your abdomen, you need something soft, high-waisted, and non-restrictive. These disposable underwears are a lifesaver compared to standard disposable Depends. The big difference? You can build your own pad system . Start with the underwear. Add a menstrual pad. Layer on a witch hazel perineal liner, perineal cream, or both. Attach an optional heating pad for cramping. It’s completely customizable depending on what your body needs that day. I also want to mention the liners pack...

My Laparoscopy Recovery Essentials: What’s Actually Helping Me Heal

Disclaimer: Links to all the products I mentioned are included. I am not being paid to promote any of them and do not receive payments. Skin sensitivity may impact your experiences with these products. Recovering from my laparoscopy has been a journey, and honestly, some days are more uncomfortable than others. Over the past week, I’ve found a few products that have made a huge difference in how I feel—both physically and mentally. Here’s what’s been helping me get through it: 1. Body Wash That Feels Safe Before and after surgery, I wanted something gentle that still felt clean. I’ve been using Dove Antibacterial Body Wash , and it’s been perfect. It keeps the incision area clean without stinging or irritating my skin, which is such a relief.  2. Underwear That Actually Works I never thought I’d get excited about disposable underwear, but Frida Mom Disposable C-Section Underwear has been a game-changer. They’re soft, supportive, and don’t press on my stomach—exactly what ...
