Baby Aspirin (Trying To Conceive)

Baby Aspirin May Help Prevent Miscarriages

Blood Clots
Some of the most common first-trimester miscarriages that can occur are said to be because of chromosomal abnormalities, low progesterone and blood clots. Taking a baby aspirin once a day during the first trimester may help reduce blood clots. Is aspirin considered safe to take during pregnancy? Baby Center.com says, "In most cases, no. Some pregnant women are advised by their doctors to take  a low dose of baby aspirin to lower their risk of certain complications, but you shouldn't take aspirin without checking with your doctor. ..Some experts recommend women with a condition called antiphospholipid syndrome take a low dose of aspirin. This is diagnosed in women who have certain antibodies in their blood or history of blood clots" (The BabyCenter Editorial Team).

Uterine Lining
According to Conceive Easy.com, "Baby Aspirin helps the uterine wall lining thicken to optimal thickness. This is supposed to help prevent miscarriages" (Granger). It is also said to help blood flow to the uterine lining. Baby Center.com says, "A few studies show taking baby aspirin around the time of conception and early pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of miscarriage" (The BabyCenter Editorial Team). Alternative: If you're not a fan of taking aspirin, you can always try Pomegranate Juice to help thicken the uterine lining. Women are supposed to take it from cycle day 1 until ovulation, 1 glass a day. To find out more about Pomegranate Juice and thin uterine lining, click here.

Baby Aspirin Doses

Conceive Easy says, "The brand is not important, but the dosage is. Baby aspirin is only beneficial if taken in the right dose. This website recommends 81 mg. Any more and there is the risk of thinning the blood too much or causing other problems that could risk the pregnancy" (Granger). The website Baby Hopes.com does not recommend taking regular strength or extra strength every day because the high amount could cause internal damage when taken regularly...This website also recommends discussing with your doctor before starting this kind of therapy" (Reasons To Use Baby Aspirin If You Trying  To Conceive). According to Baby Center, "Most experts believe low-dose aspirin therapy is safe during pregnancy... Not everyone agrees on who is a good candidate for this treatment when it should begin and the optimal dose" ( The BabyCenter Editorial Team). That alone would make me nervous to put myself on a baby aspirin regimen without my health care provider's knowledge, approval, and close monitoring.

Implantation Dips & Raised BBT

An Implantation Dip is when your basal body temperature (BBT) dips below your cover line post ovulation, usually said to occur around 7 to 9 days pass ovulation on average and then continues to rise without falling below the cover line again. 3 to 5 days pass ovulation for implantation dips is said to be rare.  Some believe implantation dips are myths, because of varying results in dips and outcomes for pregnancy.  Usually it is said when your BBT stays above your cover line without dipping below the cover line, it is a sign that you're pregnant.   This is just a theory, but it seems for some early implantation dips, may lead to earlier positive pregnancy tests. The exception to early implantation dips theory I have found is that  some women get early positive pregnancy tests as a result of having a multiples pregnancy, some women gets dips in many of their cycles that do not result in pregnancy and some women like me don't get dips during a c...

Clear Blue Plus Pregnancy Test (Blue Dye)

Clear Blue Plus Pregnancy Test  with Blue Dye (+ / - ) This is what a negative looks like: Side Note: Blue dyes are often said to more frequently give false positives than pink dye. Some online boards that will tweak (alter) a pregnancy test photo to help individuals identify if the test is a faint positive or indeed negative, often will not do blue dyes.
