The Stroller Dilemma

  • My Stroller Dilemma
Since my third pregnancy, I made the decision to update my strollers. I bought a few with each kid and the stroller stash was not working anymore. Too many options when trying to select what would be best for my particular situation that day, one feature per stroller, and too much baby gear to store.

  • Current Stroller Situation
If you read through my list, you now know I have three children and have owned at one point or another six different strollers. Out of the six strollers, my spouse and I bought five. Only one stroller was a gift. Out of the five strollers we purchased, only two were purchased brand new. The rest were previously owned. Currently, I still have the two Kolcraft Contours Strollers, The Graco Duo Glider and The Graco Snugride Stroller Frame of the six strollers I have listed above. I am currently trying to sell The Graco Snugride. My Graco Duo Glider has seen better days and I am either going to give it away to someone I know or try to sell it locally, leaving me with the two Contours brand strollers. So I am going from four strollers to two.

  • So What's The Problem?
You're downsizing your massive stroller collection to a more reasonable number, what's the problem in that? Well, I have an upcoming trip in about 7 months that is slowly approaching and I am selling my Graco Duo Glider stroller that has been my travel stroller for the past couple of years. That only leaves me with my other double stroller, which I have decided the Contours Options Tandem Stroller is too heavy and big for traveling. It's 33.8 pounds with both seats on and long. I can't imagine wheeling that thing through an airport, checking it at the airline gate, or putting it in the backseat of someone else's vehicle that is not likely to have as much room as mine and not using it my entire trip. This big stroller can be hard to navigate through tighter doorways and spaces, a crowded airport doesn't sound appealing to me. I also can't imagine taking it on a cruise or using it in a foreign country. I absolutely like the stroller although bulky, but it just doesn't seem right for traveling to me. It has 7 configurations, it's a twin stroller,  has a large basket and I got it for below retail by buying it second hand from the first owner locally for like $80.00.

  • A Possible Solution
It's obvious to put my Kolcraft Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller in the trunk for every day use and wait until my toddler is bigger and does not require a frequent stroller before using my smaller Kolcraft Contours 4 in 1 Bliss Single Stroller for outings. To solve my travel problems, my solution is...yeah, I know what you are thinking I have a problem with buying baby gear - buy another stroller for traveling!

Implantation Dips & Raised BBT

An Implantation Dip is when your basal body temperature (BBT) dips below your cover line post ovulation, usually said to occur around 7 to 9 days pass ovulation on average and then continues to rise without falling below the cover line again. 3 to 5 days pass ovulation for implantation dips is said to be rare.  Some believe implantation dips are myths, because of varying results in dips and outcomes for pregnancy.  Usually it is said when your BBT stays above your cover line without dipping below the cover line, it is a sign that you're pregnant.   This is just a theory, but it seems for some early implantation dips, may lead to earlier positive pregnancy tests. The exception to early implantation dips theory I have found is that  some women get early positive pregnancy tests as a result of having a multiples pregnancy, some women gets dips in many of their cycles that do not result in pregnancy and some women like me don't get dips during a c...

My Laparoscopy Recovery Essentials: What’s Actually Helping Me Heal

Disclaimer: Links to all the products I mentioned are included. I am not being paid to promote any of them and do not receive payments. Skin sensitivity may impact your experiences with these products. Recovering from my laparoscopy has been a journey, and honestly, some days are more uncomfortable than others. Over the past week, I’ve found a few products that have made a huge difference in how I feel—both physically and mentally. Here’s what’s been helping me get through it: 1. Body Wash That Feels Safe Before and after surgery, I wanted something gentle that still felt clean. I’ve been using Dove Antibacterial Body Wash , and it’s been perfect. It keeps the incision area clean without stinging or irritating my skin, which is such a relief.  2. Underwear That Actually Works I never thought I’d get excited about disposable underwear, but Frida Mom Disposable C-Section Underwear has been a game-changer. They’re soft, supportive, and don’t press on my stomach—exactly what ...

Clear Blue Plus Pregnancy Test (Blue Dye)

Clear Blue Plus Pregnancy Test  with Blue Dye (+ / - ) This is what a negative looks like: Side Note: Blue dyes are often said to more frequently give false positives than pink dye. Some online boards that will tweak (alter) a pregnancy test photo to help individuals identify if the test is a faint positive or indeed negative, often will not do blue dyes.
