Question:
Would you tell your families when you are trying to conceive or would you wait to announce the pregnancy?
My Response:
Our Lips Are Sealed...
My husband and I have never told anyone in our real life about when we were going to try to conceive our children thus far. I think one strong reason I do not tell family is because everyone has opinions on whether this is the right choice to the right time. At the end of the day, I think the decision to have a child and how many is ultimately between God and the couple.
We Let Them Wonder...
We have had family ask and have provided vague answers. Any time our family members saw me drinking a lot of water or using the restroom a lot. They assumed that meant I am pregnant. But they were speculating for months before I was pregnant.
Pregnancy Announcements...
Our lips are sealed when we're trying to conceive, but I get so excited when I get a positive pregnancy test I have to announce it. I'm guilty at announcing it as soon as the pregnancy test shows two lines. It's hard for me to keep that kind of news a secret. The longest I've gone (I surprised myself too) is with my 3rd when I went to surprise my family in person and was 8-9 weeks pregnant during the visit. We did the best sister and big brother shirts to share the news.
