I was separated for 3 years and recently got divorced. It's surreal and strange that this is my new normal. Things haven't gotten easier, but I've gotten better at dealing with the roller coaster of emotions. However, I would be lying if I said I didn't feel sad sometimes. Or cry over the broken or unfulfilled dreams I still wanted. Developing my old hobby of reading has truly helped me get through the thick of some of those lonely, painful nights.
