Pineapple vs Bromelain Tablets

Why Have The Tablets?
If you are allergic to pineapple or do not like eating it, it is recommended to try the tablets. You may want to double check the ingredients to make sure taking the tablets will not cause an allergic reaction if you are allergic to pineapple.

Articles
I also found this article that discussed the benefits of Brolemain Pills vs Fresh Pineapple, PILLS VS. PINEAPPLE: Whole Fruit Wins in Bromelain Comparison. This 2005 article says, "Tempted to turn to the supplement aisle in search of faster healing or reduced inflammation? You may find more reliable relief in the produce aisle, or so suggests some preliminary analyses run in the Dole Nutrition Institute (DNI) Lab.The nutrient in question is bromelain – a natural enzyme derived from pineapple. Previously, our researchers analyzed pineapple and papaya skin-care products to verify claims of enzymatic activity – and found out that there was more bluffing than buffing going on. Most recently we tested six different bromelain supplements to see how they fared when matched against the real thing – fresh pineapple. What we found is that fresh and frozen pineapple has at least as much – and in many cases much more – enzyme activity than bromelain supplements. In one case, just one serving (1 cup) had 13 times as much enzymatic activity as the supplement. In other cases, tests revealed much lower levels of enzyme activity than claimed on the supplement bottles (well within their date of expiration). While it may seem simpler to pop a pill, supplements provide nutrients in isolation vs.the synergistic nutrition we may gain from whole fruits and vegetables. So, enjoy the bromelain the way Mother Nature intended, from pineapple."

In Live Strong's article, Fresh Pineapple Juice & Bromelain, in the section Fresh Pineapple Juice vs. Bromelain Supplements says, "UMMC recommends supplemental bromelain tablets over fresh pineapple juice, claiming that pineapple juice doesn't have high enough concentrations of bromelain to be effective. However, the Dole Nutrition Lab disagrees, explaining that fresh and even frozen pineapple juice demonstrated greater enzymatic activity when compared to six bromelain supplements. These researchers point out that in addition to bromelain, pineapple juice is also an excellent source of both vitamin C and manganese."

Final Thoughts
I have found more information from people eating the pineapple than the tablets, though. That's another reason I choose to eat the pineapple over the tablets.

I did look on Amazon at the reviews of Source Natural brand of Bromelain tablets, (link here last looked at October 31, 2015, over 116 reviews) no one talked about it for trying to conceive. It was mostly used other ailments, such as inflammation and congestions Did a quick google search and didn't get much.

Frida Mom for Post Laparoscopy Care

My Frida Mom Basket for Post-Laparoscopy Care. Why I Love the Frida Mom Line (Even Beyond Motherhood) One of the things I’ve really come to appreciate is how versatile the Frida Mom line is—not just for new moms, but for anyone recovering from abdominal surgeries, such as laparoscopies for endometriosis. After surgery, comfort and gentle care are everything. That’s where the C-section recovery underwear comes in. Even if you haven’t had a baby, the design makes sense—when you have incisions on your abdomen, you need something soft, high-waisted, and non-restrictive. These disposable underwears are a lifesaver compared to standard disposable Depends. The big difference? You can build your own pad system . Start with the underwear. Add a menstrual pad. Layer on a witch hazel perineal liner, perineal cream, or both. Attach an optional heating pad for cramping. It’s completely customizable depending on what your body needs that day. I also want to mention the liners pack...

Recovering from my laparoscopy has been a journey, and honestly, some days are more uncomfortable than others. It keeps the incision area clean without stinging or irritating my skin, which is such a relief.  2.
