Test for Pregnancy

Know When Your Period Started The first day of flow of your menstrual cycle is the first day of your cycle. After you have established you have started your period, not to be confused with spotting (spotting can be random spots of blood to very light bleeding that might appear a little on a liner or just when a woman wipes. Spotting can come before your period arrives or it can be spotting from implantation bleeding). Confirm Ovulation Next you need to confirm ovulation. Once you have ovulated, you have your two week wait. For the average woman, she can receive a positive pregnancy test anywhere from 12-14+ days pass ovulation. For a few women, they can receive positive pregnancy tests as early as 8-11 days pass ovulation. And for other women, they don't receive positive pregnancy tests until 14+ days pass ovulation. How much HCG ( the pregnancy hormone) is different for every woman, that is why not every woman will get a positive pregnancy test at the same time. Two ...

Poetry Favorites (Updated)

So I'm taking an English Poetry class. By now if you have read my blog, you've discovered yet another one of my secrets: I am a writer. For the amount of stuff I put into my blog, you would have to believe I must enjoy some amount of writing.  Besides the obvious of learning about writing poetry in a poetry class, it helps strengthen the writing through peer critique and teaches how to perform poetry for an audience. This class has also introduced me to the world of poetry slams and some of the talented poets who perform them. I have decided to share some of these poets who I until this semester I had no idea existed, but glad I know about them now! I do apologize if you find any of the poems inappropriate. I will try to flag if there is any poems that some people might find disturbing, i.e. some profanity,  inappropriate language / content. Continue Having Sex

I am sure you have heard from countless of things you have read, be intimate before and during a positive ovulation test. Well, now it’s going around a couple should also include intimacy every other day for a week after a positive ovulation test as well. Some reasons why this is a good idea: If you are not a hundred percent sure when you ovulated or if you ovulated, this could increase your chance of catching that egg if you ovulated later than you thought. The reason I agree with this idea is I had a similar experience. While breastfeeding my first and trying to conceive my second, my fertility friend chart said I ovulated on cycle day 16 on the cycle I got a positive home pregnancy test. I remember that cycle being unsure of what ovulation test was positive and what ones were just close to positives. My husband and I tried cycle days: 7, 9-14 and a few days after, cycle day 17, two times on cycle day 18 and cycle days 20-21. I think the frequent and extra days helped our chances....

Try Natural Supplements

Disclaimer :  Do your research first! I first tried natural supplements while breastfeeding my first and trying to conceive my second. The big one you might hear about for irregular menstrual cycles and possibly helping a postpartum menstrual cycle start is vitex! When trying to conceive my second, I did not take vitex, because I  heard good and bad things about it. Also my gynecologist did not give me information to help me with my choice. Mainstream healthcare professionals generally don't give / have / support information about natural supplements, because natural supplements do not always have enough case studies and are not usually FDA approved in the US. I am also told vitex is not safe to take while pregnant and some studies even say while breastfeeding. I have known some women who took vitex and got pregnant fairly quickly though. My husband and I remained on the fence, because we would have like there to be more information to make a more informed decision. Howe...
