Confirm With Your Health Care Provider

Now that you've gotten a positive pregnancy test, you will want to confirm with your health care provider that you are pregnant and have a viable pregnancy. If you have had a miscarriage before, your health care provider may do beta testing to see that your HCG levels are rising. With my 2nd and 3rd pregnancy, I paid $17 dollars at my OBGYN office and had my pregnancy confirmed via blood test. It was about a 15 minute wait in the waiting room for the results. Once the results confirmed what my home pregnancy test did, the nurse changed my folder to pregnancy and my first appointment was set for a week or two later.  Since I have no history of miscarriages so far, while waiting for my first appointment, I will take a pregnancy test or two, to verify that I am still getting positive pregnancy tests. If you start to get positive tests that are fading and eventually become stark white, it is possible you have had a miscarriage and should contact your health c...

Read About What To Expect During Your Pregnancy

There are so many pregnancy books out there, and it can be hard to choose which one to read. If you're like me, you've probably bought a few different ones for this reason. My favorite and recommended pregnancy book is this illustrated Pregnancy Day By Day. To buy this one, click  here .  I bought it during my 2nd pregnancy (and I am re-reading it during my 3rd pregnancy). A popular brand you may have heard of is What To Expect When You're Expecting.  This one comes in a series of different books, What To Expect Before You're Expecting, What To Expect The First Year and What To Expect The Toddler Years. I read through these during my first pregnancy and first two years with my first child. Don't forget to grab a book for the father to be too! It was helpful for my husband to have a book geared for the man's perspective.  This is the one  we bought, my husband, but there are plenty of other books out there. So the numbers and the photos will not match the words in the caption. The words in the captions are correct. 1. My faint positive at 11 days past ovulation 2. 11 days past ...

My Experience With Soy

Disclaimer I have Stage 1 Endometriosis. Soy is generally not recommended for women with Endometriosis. My midwife also does not recommend Soy for any woman trying to conceive. Reasons I Decided To Try It My cycles post baby 2 were irregular while breastfeeding. My OB felt like I didn't need any help because I had been pregnant once before while breastfeeding. He felt like getting the return of my period, my period coming every month and positive ovulation tests were a good sign to him and, because I was also extended nursing my toddler possibly an estimate of  3-5x a day. When I was TTC # 2 while breastfeeding my first GYN who had removed and diagnosed me with  Endometriosis said if I weaned and weren't pregnant in 3 months post weaning, he would put me on Clomid. Well, Soy is said to be nature's Clomid. Lastly, 2 other gals in my mommy group online tried Soy and became pregnant. Worth a shot, right? Brand I Used The brand I ...

Soy May Work Like Clomid & Increase The Chance of Twins

Clomid may increase chances for twins, since it is suggested soy isoflavones works similar as Clomid, there is also a chance to that soy isoflavones may increase the chances for twins as well. From some researching online, it says the chances for twins with Clomid occur because the extra stimulation to mature the follicles may cause more than one to become mature and increases your estrogen levels. The estrogen level rising could cause issues for women with Endometriosis, maybe making a cycle and symptoms more painful. I have also read from online message boards from women who have taken Clomid who says when you have big follicles it is more painful during ovulation. The chances of having twins naturally is said from some fertility literature to be 1-3 percent and Clomid increases that percent but only to 8 percent. In most cases, because more than one follicle is released thus creating multiples it said Clomid twins are usually fraternal.

3rd: Suspicions, Chart, Signs, Tests & Ultrasounds

Pregnancy # 3: Positive Pregnancy Test on June 22, 2015 Pregnancy Suspicions : I was really fatigue, more than normal. Also, my clear blue fertility monitor had the period button flashing, and I was still waiting for my period to come and it got me thinking, maybe? Before I decided to check the monitor, I was thinking I might be having another 30 something day cycle, like cycle 8 that was 34 days long. And surprisingly, I was thinking that even though my 9th cycle, was only 27 days long and I was now on cycle day 30, 3 days pass that with no period.  Also one thing that raised my interest was that even though my chart was set to Fertility Awareness that said I did not ovulate, my chart still showed elevated temps similar to when I had the cycle that I conceived my 2nd child. Click here to see pictures of my chart from my second pregnancy. Testing : I tested by accident on cycle day 22 when I used the First Response Pregnancy Test that came with my first Response ov...
