How Intimacy Affects Sperm

I feel the more you are intimate when trying to conceive, the higher your chances of catching your egg and becoming pregnant are. Despite the fact that for some couples who are not trying or just one time they are able to become pregnant. However, frequent intimacy is not for every couple. Especially if the male partner has low sperm count. It is said a men with low sperm count can still father a child, while men with higher than normal sperm count can also take longer to father a child. So many factors affect sperm, poor diet, stress, lack of sleep and so forth. But what about intimacy?

My research found the following: A man is said to need to ejaculate often to produce fresh and high quality sperm.  Sex can temporarily impact a men's sperm. It is said if he does ejaculate too often he will not replenish a full amount of sperm. There is said to actually be no best time to wait between ejaculations, but some experts believe 36 to 48 hours. While others believe 24 to 48 hours. The right amount of time can vary for different men to take a break to allow their bodies to build up their sperm count again. Also some experts say fresh sperm has better quality and swimmers than sperm that has remained in the body for awhile. So men should not go longer than a week without ejaculation.

I know from my experiences for conceiving my first two children, for the first cycle we were intimate every day for a month and then like five days for the second cycle, because I was sick and on cough medicine and became pregnant the second cycle. For our second, we tried for 6 cycles. On the cycle we became pregnant, we had intimacy days in a row with a few breaks here and there for a total of 13x in 12 days. By day 28 of my cycle, I had my faint positive pregnancy test. I should also note, because we already had a co-sleeping child when conceiving our 2nd, we never were intimate at the same time each day. Some days it was at 12:00 AM, other times 3:00 AM, or 11:00 PM. So perhaps the randomness of this allowed enough time for my husband's sperm to recharge so to speak. So I can attest that you can still become pregnant if you are intimate very little or intimate a lot, but it definitely helps to be balanced in all areas of health for both partners and knowing if there maybe any fertility issues for the couple such as, poor sperm count for the male or poor egg quality, lack of menstruation or ovulation for the female and so forth.

Implantation Dips & Raised BBT

An Implantation Dip is when your basal body temperature (BBT) dips below your cover line post ovulation, usually said to occur around 7 to 9 days pass ovulation on average and then continues to rise without falling below the cover line again. 3 to 5 days pass ovulation for implantation dips is said to be rare.  Some believe implantation dips are myths, because of varying results in dips and outcomes for pregnancy.  Usually it is said when your BBT stays above your cover line without dipping below the cover line, it is a sign that you're pregnant.   This is just a theory, but it seems for some early implantation dips, may lead to earlier positive pregnancy tests. The exception to early implantation dips theory I have found is that  some women get early positive pregnancy tests as a result of having a multiples pregnancy, some women gets dips in many of their cycles that do not result in pregnancy and some women like me don't get dips during a c...
