Progesterone Cream

A midwife (who is also a breastfeeding mother) that has had several children of her own, recommended to me over the counter progesterone cream. I believe in large part because she does not write prescriptions. She said her short luteal phase of 9 went to 13 while using it. She recommended using it after ovulation for your entire two weeks wait. Remember individuals, product brands, results, experiences, and reactions to products vary. I am not saying if you use this, it will definitely cure your short luteal phase.

Progesterone & Vitex
It is not recommended to take progesterone cream at the same time as vitex. It is fine to take Vitex and progesterone cream in the same menstrual cycle. For example,  you can take vitex at the beginning of your cycle and progesterone cream after you confirm ovulation.

Delayed Ovulation
It is important to monitor your cycles if you are going to use progesterone cream. If you take it before you ovulate, you can suppress ovulation.

Progesterone & Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 can be taken throughout the cycle. Progesterone still should be taken after ovulation.

Directions
It is a topical cream that you apply 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of cream 2x a day into smooth areas, such as wrists, inner arms, thighs, throat, abdomen or chest. It is said to rotate. According to Drweil.com, "When you use progesterone cream, you're usually advised to apply it to different skin sites with each use. This approach is recommended to minimize a small risk of skin irritation that could develop from applying it to only one site. However, if you rub the cream in with your hands, most will be absorbed through your palms" (weil).

For those that are curious about if these products can be used vaginally, the product will say if it can. For example, The Bountiful Bird Natural Progesterone Cream (over the counter) in May 2016 says, "Suitable for intravaginal application, subject to consultation with a physician". I have posted a photo below and highlighted it.

Implantation Dips & Raised BBT

An Implantation Dip is when your basal body temperature (BBT) dips below your cover line post ovulation, usually said to occur around 7 to 9 days pass ovulation on average and then continues to rise without falling below the cover line again. 3 to 5 days pass ovulation for implantation dips is said to be rare.  Some believe implantation dips are myths, because of varying results in dips and outcomes for pregnancy.  Usually it is said when your BBT stays above your cover line without dipping below the cover line, it is a sign that you're pregnant.   This is just a theory, but it seems for some early implantation dips, may lead to earlier positive pregnancy tests. The exception to early implantation dips theory I have found is that  some women get early positive pregnancy tests as a result of having a multiples pregnancy, some women gets dips in many of their cycles that do not result in pregnancy and some women like me don't get dips during a c...

Recovering from my laparoscopy has been a journey, and honestly, some days are more uncomfortable than others. Clear Blue Plus Pregnancy Test (Blue Dye)

Clear Blue Plus Pregnancy Test  with Blue Dye (+ / - ) This is what a negative looks like: Side Note: Blue dyes are often said to more frequently give false positives than pink dye. Some online boards that will tweak (alter) a pregnancy test photo to help individuals identify if the test is a faint positive or indeed negative, often will not do blue dyes.
