Notes
- Among groups centered around Autism Spectrum Disorder, also known as Autism or ASD for short, is a controversial therapy called ABA. ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis.
- ABA is more commonly known as a therapy often used in special education programs and a form of "treatment" for Autism. The word "treatment" is not being used to mean cure. There is no cure for Autism. A "treatment" plan is used to help a child improve areas they need to work on.
- A reason for the controversy is in the past ABA may not have been considered as compassionate as it proclaims to be now. There are groups of people against and for its use.
