Amber Teething Necklaces

My 2nd teething

I was pretty unsure about the amber teething necklaces. Is it luck or a fluke that "they" seem to work and not many out right say they work 100% when I have asked other moms who use them. They answer maybe its the necklaces or my kids don't teeth that bad / good teethers. All I can say is try it, you might like it.

We bought ours in March 2014 when our 2nd started teething. He had been fussy and drooling for months, but now his teeth were coming and he could not be comforted. I bought it in the middle of the night while he was crying and I was trying to rock and nurse him while my husband went out to the store to by some more infant Motrin. We had finished what was in the house (that was after we moved into our new house and hadn't organized all of our medicines to clearly see what we were out of) and all we had was baby orajel, which I discovered only last secs, not long lasting.

Any who, the necklace was shipped from Amazon in two days, because of the Amazon prime feature and we have had it on him since. Since we got it, he has had only one other day of getting infant Motrin related to teething (the other time was for pain for his ear infection that he was getting over, because he had just started the antibiotic, so it hadn't started working yet to get rid of the ear infection). So when he got his first 4 teeth all around the same time, he had only received infant Motrin 2x (1x with the necklace, 1x before having the necklace). Now that he has another set of 4 teeth coming during his ear infection, I've given him 1 teething tablet for 6 days. We aren't making the teething tablets a habit, just as needed now that the worst of the ear infection is past.

I am pleased with the necklaces thus far. When more of our 2nd's teeth were coming in, most of the time we didn't know until we saw the white sticking out of the gums and ran our finger over it to feel the hardness of it.  Considering how we had given our 1st Motrin or Tylenol every time she was or thought she was teething, we have had definitely used medicine less with our 2nd. Now it can also be a gender, temperament and even pain tolerance difference between them, but the process of teething is going better.

I like to think of my amber teething necklace as just another piece in my tool box of teething options for soothing my baby, not a "cure all". In that tool box I have infant Motrin, Infant teething tablets, Baby Orajel, teething toys and now amber teething necklaces. If I can found something that might help my baby, is less invasive and natural, why not try it? I have nothing to really lose by trying it. Also, here is the best part about these necklaces, they can be reused, you only buy a new one if its lost, stolen or broken. That is a plus in my book! I think the last point to remember is experiences with products vary, some products people really love or really dislike and some fall in between a more neutral, not swayed either way opinion. But you won't know where you fall until you try it.

Frida Mom for Post Laparoscopy Care

My Frida Mom Basket for Post-Laparoscopy Care. Why I Love the Frida Mom Line (Even Beyond Motherhood) One of the things I’ve really come to appreciate is how versatile the Frida Mom line is—not just for new moms, but for anyone recovering from abdominal surgeries, such as laparoscopies for endometriosis. After surgery, comfort and gentle care are everything. That’s where the C-section recovery underwear comes in. Even if you haven’t had a baby, the design makes sense—when you have incisions on your abdomen, you need something soft, high-waisted, and non-restrictive. These disposable underwears are a lifesaver compared to standard disposable Depends. The big difference? You can build your own pad system . Start with the underwear. Add a menstrual pad. Layer on a witch hazel perineal liner, perineal cream, or both. Attach an optional heating pad for cramping. It’s completely customizable depending on what your body needs that day. I also want to mention the liners pack...

My Laparoscopy Recovery Essentials: What’s Actually Helping Me Heal

Disclaimer: Links to all the products I mentioned are included. I am not being paid to promote any of them and do not receive payments. Skin sensitivity may impact your experiences with these products. Recovering from my laparoscopy has been a journey, and honestly, some days are more uncomfortable than others. Over the past week, I’ve found a few products that have made a huge difference in how I feel—both physically and mentally. Here’s what’s been helping me get through it: 1. Body Wash That Feels Safe Before and after surgery, I wanted something gentle that still felt clean. I’ve been using Dove Antibacterial Body Wash , and it’s been perfect. It keeps the incision area clean without stinging or irritating my skin, which is such a relief.  2. Underwear That Actually Works I never thought I’d get excited about disposable underwear, but Frida Mom Disposable C-Section Underwear has been a game-changer. They’re soft, supportive, and don’t press on my stomach—exactly what ...
