Also the age in the chart is not the age pregnancy occurred or birth of baby, but age that mothers were when postpartum returned. This can be very different for some women. Referring to my example above, I was 20 years old, a little over a month before my 21st birthday when I became pregnant with my 1st. In the 1st trimester of my pregnancy, I turned 21 years old, which is the age I was when my baby was born. When my first postpartum came at 17 months postpartum, I was 23 years old - to give you an idea how age of postpartum menstrual returning can be different from pregnancy and birth of baby.
