ABC Family / Free Form

This is a synopsis of some popular shows on television right now. If you are uncomfortable or offended with any of the things listed (homosexuality, sex, alcohol or drug use, violence...) in the show's descriptions, you can jump to the Whole Some Section. These are the shows that I have seen that seem to overall be G-rating (General Audience) or PG-rating (Parental Guidance). To see that list, click here.

ABC Family / Free Form -

Pretty Little Liars.  This TV show is based on the books by Sara Shepherd with the same name. They follow a similar storyline, however, the TV show and books deviate in many things. This is a mystery show that has a lot of romance and murder, that takes place in the fictional town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania where looks and who you know are everything. Once upon a time, there were 5 best friends and then one went missing. The show is about the 4 remaining friends (Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings, Hanna Marin, and Emily Fields) and finding out what happened to their missing best friend, Alison "Ali" DiLaurentis, who may or may not be alive. The girls are also being tormented by an unknown person, through text messages, e-mails, and notes. This show features a variety of topics from heterosexual and homosexual couples kissing/making out and having sex (with no nudity), teenage relationships, exploring one's sexuality, infidelity, blackmailing, and lying to name a few. Bare skin is shown, at times, such as boys/men without their shirts on or girls/women in swimsuits. You may or may not be familiar with the 4 leading ladies of this show, actresses Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, and Troian Bellisario. Netflix has all 7 seasons. There is currently a new spinoff called The Perfectionist coming in 2019.

Young & Hungry. This was featured on the ABC Family Channel that was for family & Teens before they became Freeform an older teen & adult channel. Netflix has 2 seasons listed. Highschool Musical's Ashley Tisdale is a producer. I believe it says that on the Netflix tab. This does have heterosexual couples, as well as a homosexual couple. Alcohol usage. Sometimes profanity. One night stand. Heterosexual couples have sex, but no actual nudity from what I have seen. It's about a food blogger with a cooking dream who gets hired by a wealthy guy to be his personal chef and the adventures she has because of her good intentions and schemes often create problems for her friends and herself.  It's kind of a slow burn romance. So the main love interest is not having sex in every episode like some shows, it's more one of those how will they get together shows.

The Fosters. Another show from ABC Family channel now called Free Form. I have not seen all the seasons. Netflix has 3 seasons listed. It's about a lesbian couple who fosters and adopts a bunch of different children. I took a special interest in the name since I started taking foster care classes right before I had my baby. However, I am told this show does not exactly portray the foster care system, but they do bring up some issues relevant to foster care. The main love interest is about two of the teenagers and the secondary love interest is the lesbian couple's relationship and how fostering and adoption affect it. The reason it is called the Fosters is that Foster is the last name of the lesbian couple. Besides issues and challenges of foster care, it has homosexuality, it has some sex, law-breaking, running away, alcohol use, and death to name a few. I want to say it has some profanity, but I can't remember at the moment.

Baby Daddy.  This is a current show being aired on Free Form, formerly known as ABC Family. This is about two brothers, Ben, and Danny and their mother, Bonnie Wheeler and their two best friends, Riley and Tucker. Ben is a bachelor dating and hooking up with many different women and lives with his best friend/roommate, Tucker played by Tahj Mowry. Tahj is best known for his role in the TV show called Smart Guy and the brother of identical twin sisters, Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamara Mowry-Housley from the hit TV show, Sister, Sister. Ben has a one-night stand and the mother of his one-night stand leaves the 3-month-old baby at his front door and then contacts him about adoption when he decides he wants to be a father.

Melissa & Joey. The slow burn kind of romance reminds me of the TV show, Melissa & Joey that stars Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawerence. That's another will they or won't they get together type show and it's from ABC Family. They also starred in a movie called My Fake Fiance together where they had the will they or won't they get together too. As far as liking the show It will depend on if you like the chemistry between Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawerence, some people do and some people do not. It has five seasons. From my understanding, the show overall did well and has a high number of viewers who
were pleased with its finale.

Frida Mom for Post Laparoscopy Care

My Frida Mom Basket for Post-Laparoscopy Care. Why I Love the Frida Mom Line (Even Beyond Motherhood) One of the things I’ve really come to appreciate is how versatile the Frida Mom line is—not just for new moms, but for anyone recovering from abdominal surgeries, such as laparoscopies for endometriosis. After surgery, comfort and gentle care are everything. That’s where the C-section recovery underwear comes in. Even if you haven’t had a baby, the design makes sense—when you have incisions on your abdomen, you need something soft, high-waisted, and non-restrictive. These disposable underwears are a lifesaver compared to standard disposable Depends. The big difference? You can build your own pad system . Start with the underwear. Add a menstrual pad. Layer on a witch hazel perineal liner, perineal cream, or both. Attach an optional heating pad for cramping. It’s completely customizable depending on what your body needs that day. I also want to mention the liners pack...

My Laparoscopy Recovery Essentials: What’s Actually Helping Me Heal

Disclaimer: Links to all the products I mentioned are included. I am not being paid to promote any of them and do not receive payments. Skin sensitivity may impact your experiences with these products. Recovering from my laparoscopy has been a journey, and honestly, some days are more uncomfortable than others. Over the past week, I’ve found a few products that have made a huge difference in how I feel—both physically and mentally. Here’s what’s been helping me get through it: 1. Body Wash That Feels Safe Before and after surgery, I wanted something gentle that still felt clean. I’ve been using Dove Antibacterial Body Wash , and it’s been perfect. It keeps the incision area clean without stinging or irritating my skin, which is such a relief.  2. Underwear That Actually Works I never thought I’d get excited about disposable underwear, but Frida Mom Disposable C-Section Underwear has been a game-changer. They’re soft, supportive, and don’t press on my stomach—exactly what ...
