How do you feel after the Autism diagnosis?
It's been a little over four weeks. I am struggling a bit with the diagnosis. As well as my husband. At the same time, I kind of felt something was off. There is a sort of peace of having an answer.
Of course, its not the answer we really wanted. I think the answer we wanted to hear was this is normal. Our third child is just going at his own pace and will catch up to his older siblings when he does. But that is not the answer. Having an answer also means we can do something about it. You can't do anything about something you don't know.

I think at this point, our hope is that our thid is high functioning. That would be the best possible scenario in something that's not ideal. I am praying that he is high functioning. That all the early intervention helps. But also praying for the strength...incase he's not. Incase, this is just the beginning of even harder things to come and an unknown future.
