My blog has had a few names
over the years. It began as An
Endometriosis Blog: Trying to Conceive with Endometriosis, but I wanted a
title that felt more personal—something that stood out in a sea of
endometriosis blogs. That’s how it became The Not-So-Secret Life of a
Stay-at-Home Mom: Trying to Conceive with Stage 1 Endometriosis, a play on
words from the television show The Secret Life of the American Teenager,
where a teenage girl becomes pregnant.
Unlike the show, my dream of
pregnancy wasn’t a secret at all. It was the loud, steady hope I carried after
being diagnosed with Stage 1 endometriosis at 20 years old—and still believing
motherhood was possible for me.
Life has
shifted in new ways, and this space has shifted with it. The story is still
mine—endo, motherhood, healing, and everything in between—but the focus has
widened. With that, I’m introducing my third title for this season: Unfolding
Dreams.
